Drivers Criteria

• Must meet the specified age limits within your policy (21-70) and have at least 2 years driving experience (Full UK, EU, AU, US, CA, NZ & SA licence types). 
• Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x SP30’s, 3pts each) without referral. 
• Single 4 point offences are acceptable without referral and subject to standard
  terms. 
• Single 6 point SP30, SP50 and CU80 convictions are acceptable subject to a £1000 excess. All other 6 points+ offences will require referral to the insurers. 
• No more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last three years. 
• Has not obtained a BA,DD or UT conviction.
• Has not had their licence suspended for any period within the last three years.

Age Restrictions

Our fully comprehensive insurance covers drivers aged 21-70. If your age is not in this range then please contact us to share details and we can provide a quote after speaking to our insurance company.

Payment

Booking Deposit: All bookings require a 20% non refundable deposit when the booking is made. Please note we do not accept cash as a deposit. All payments must be processed electronically.

Balance: The balance of outstanding payments must be made 6 weeks prior to the booking start date. A refundable deposit to cover the insurance excess will be taken when the vehicle is collected. This is £500 as standard.

Cancellations:

If a booking is cancelled more than 6 weeks prior, then a full refund will be given (excluding deposit).

If a booking is cancelled between 4 and 6 weeks of booking a 50% of the full amount will be refunded.

If a booking is cancelled between 4 and 1 week then a 20% of the full amount will be refunded due to the unlikelihood of us filling the booking dates.

Bookings cancelled within 1 week of the hire will not be refunded.

Before the Hire

1. Prior to the commencement of any hire, we will:
   • Inspect the driving licence of the hirer and any other permitted driver. 
   • Check that the hirer and any driver 
     1. are not under the age of 21 or over 70 years of age. 
     2. has held a full UK, EU, AU, US, CA, NZ & SA licence for a minimum of two years. 
     3. has not had their licence suspended for any period within the last three years. 
     4. has not been involved in more than one fault incident within the last three years. 
     5. has no more than two convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction. 
     6. has not obtained a BA,DD or UT conviction. 

2) Our Campervan will only be let out on hire to a person who has signed and completed a rental agreement or the hirer/driver proposal for each period of hire. 

3) We will complete, prior to releasing vehicle, identity checks including copies of all drivers licences, 2 utility bills dated within three months of the hire and the deposit being taken by a clear and traceable means such as a debit or credit card. 

4) The Campervan shall not be used for the carriage of goods of an explosive, dangerous or hazardous nature or for the carriage of goods or passengers for hire and reward or any other form of profit or remuneration.
